Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) saw a positive week, pushed up by the banking and the materials sectors.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) gained 52.89 points, or 0.62%, to reach 8,612.84 points in a week.
TASI’s trading volume declined to 576.48 million shares, while the market’s liquidity decreased to SAR 14.23 billion.
Over the week, market capitalisation went up to SAR 2.04 trillion ($543.88 billion).
Only six sectors rose including the investments, banking, and the materials sectors, which levelled up 2.52%, 1.4%, and 1.1%, respectively.
The rest of the sectors declined, among them the energy sector, which dropped 4.46%, while the telecommunications sector retreated 1.4%.
The main index of the Nomu secondary market (NOMU) rose 291.4 points, or 9.53%, to 3,347.68 points during the week.
